This extremely finely carved vintage rosewood armchair, likely Hongmu, features a stunning iridescent grain. Showcasing an original, otherwise unfound carved Koi design, this chair was likely made between 1940-1970 in China. Its horseshoe back is supported by offset legs and cross stretchers. The high quality rosewood is sturdy and sealed in a shiny lacquer finish.
This chair comes with a custom made bamboo print cushion that has tasseled ropes. There is also a few light paint scufs and a split in the seat.
